Whidbey Island artist, Dale Reiger began painting about twenty-five years ago, and ten years ago he shifted focus to include his kiln formed glass.  He descibes his style as both primative, and elegant, and themes from his paintings also flow into his glass pieces.  Dale uses elementary shapes, that translate into symbols, which in turn create a highly personalized iconography.  He uses color as a language, and each color has its own code, and texture.  Most of Dale's kiln formed glass is cast, or a combination of fusing and casting.
