Kapnick Brazilian Garden

·        Raymond Jungles designed this space as a tribute garden to his mentor, famed landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx. Burle Marx created the tiled mosaic at the top of the water feature.

·        One famous landscape architecture by Burle Marx are the sidewalks of Copa Cabana beach in Brazil. Show Images. Burle Marx also designed full gardens; here is a photo of a preliminary painting compared to actual aerial images of Brazil’s Ministry of the Army garden.

·        Notable trees are the silk floss tree (Ceiba speciosa) and cannonball tree (Couroupita guianensis). There are many varieties of bromeliads, a red passionflower (Passiflora racemosa) on the lower overlook, and water lilies, papyrus, and victorias in the water feature.
