The log house

The Forest Log Cabin

Next to the smithy you will see a log cabin. This log cabin was built in 1987 by participants of a course in knot timbering. The hut, which holds twenty loggers, shows how lumberjacks lived during the time of the first lumberings in the middle of the 1850’s, a practice that was more or less unchanged for almost a hundred years. In the middle there is a large fireplace, the cabin can be rented and is popular when you want to warm up, fry a “kolbulle” or grill a sausage.
